Week 35, Unbelievable!

This week was marvelous! On Monday, we had a field trip o the Oak Ridge Science and Energy Museum! It was a blast, here’s how it went: First, we arrived at the Museum and went to the auditorium and watched a movie on the atomic bomb. Then, we got to make our hair stick up by touching an electric ball. It was so funny! Then, we looked at cool gadgets around the museum. Nxt, we ate lunch and had more free time! I got checked-out after the trip. I had a fun time! The next day, we came to school and took a tour of west Valley Middle School, it was really nice and clean. Then, we finished our Civil War reports and did centers. Afterwards, we had lunch and recess. In afternoon math, we helped Anna Cate write her song! It was spectacular! Wednesday, we took a tour of Bearden Middle School, go Bruins! It was amazing too! Then, we typed our novels and did some more Reading centers. Next, we had lunch, recess, and we finished writing Anna Cate’s song. We still have to do the beat and record that, though. Wednesday was terrific! Thursday was my friend, Parker’s birthday. he turned 11! That day, we had long reading centers, did some math lessons taught by us, and then we headed to lunch. For recess, we played Kickball. Also, the girls had their Girl Talk. The boys got a whole hour of recess! Thursday was tremendous! Finally, Friday was the best. We had Math and the boys did their Boy Talk, while the girls got an hour of recess. Next, we had rehearsals for our Music Play! Then, we all got thirty minutes of recess! We came in and typed some more of our novel. After that, we had lunch and more music rehearsals. Then, we went home. Our week was absolutely phenomenal!

This week was marvelous! First, we came to school and had Math. We planned our “kid-taught” lessons! My partner is Parker! Next, we went to Music, and set up for a Mystery Skype. Then, we had Health week, so we did Zoomba, or hip-hop! Then, we did our Mystery Skype, and they were from Illinois! Next, we started our novels, bully videos, and country reports (I choose South Africa)! Then, we had recess and instead of Science, we have afternoon Math! Then, we came to school on Tuesday. Again, we planned our lessons and did Math songs we write ourselves. Next, we had Art. We got to draw outside, and I drew a leaf! Then, we arrived back into class and had snack. Afterwards, we had Health Week again and had a Diabetes talk. Then, we returned and did similar Reading centers. I the afternoon, we worked on our CDs! Then, we came in Wednesday. That day, we had the awesome Track meet! It was awesome! I did the 400m Event, and on my first heat, I got 1st Place out of 6, and second heat 5th out of 6. I got a green ribbon! We watched Rocky Hill do great! Next, we came back and went home! Thursday, we arrived and did a Mystery Skype with people from Texas. Parker and I taught our lesson, then we had Gym outside! It was spectacular!!!!!!! Then, we had Yoga during Health week and then did Reading. The centers were tremendous!!! Afterwards, we had recess and watched Mr. Thomson from West Valley play 4 different string instruments, it was fascinating. Last, we came to school on Friday! Here’s what we did: did Week 34 blogs, Reading Buddies, CBM Testing, walk for Diabetes, Math lessons, and then had a relaxing Friday Fun lunch. This week was exceedingly amazing!

This was definitely my least and favorite week! It was bad because TCAPs were exasperating! You just want to get up and jump or run. You’d do that because you sit for an hour, 15 minute break, and then another hour! So, on Monday all we did was test review on our Whiteboards. Luckily, I earned a few tickets! We also switched our Special’s schedule: 11:25 to 12:05, so 5 minutes shorter! That day was alright. On Tuesday, that was the beginning of TCAPs: the Reading test. It was simple for part 1, and then we got a break! Unfortunately, part 2 was difficult, the stories were longer and the questions got longer! Afterwards, the 3rd Graders came in after they finished. We played Wii, sand songs on the TV, and played iPads! It was awesome! Then, we had Art, Lunch, and then recess! We ended the day deciding what to do about Buddy-Bands! Wednesday, we came with our Calculators. It was the Math test. We completed both parts withy a little trouble, but survived. Then, the 3rd Graders came back in and after went to Library. Next, we played on computers and ate lunch in the classroom. After recess, we put a “hair-cut” on the grass so we could plant the pumpkins. We went home a little later. Then, Thursday arrived. That was the Science test. It was an easy test, but hard to actually do because we’ve taken 2 long ones already! When we finally finished, we played with the 3rd Graders again! We then had Gym and ate lunch! Later, we played a mix of Capture the Flag and Soccer at recess! That was spectacular! We came in and watched a movie called Annie 2! We then left for home. Friday! When we came to school, I picked up my friends for Safety! Afterwards, we came in and watched inspirational videos for TCAPs! We took the History part today! Next, we played Heads up, 7up! We moved our desks, practiced our Flash Mob, and then played games on the computer. We ended the fun by going to Music, however, it was fun because we watched a movie. Next, we practiced our letter “H” for the end of the year video. After that, we typed our blogs, had friday Fun Lunch, and then recess! Yeah! After that, we hang out in the classroom! Instead of going home, I helped my mom set up the Rocky Hill Rodeo! This was a terrific week!
Week 32, SO AWESOME!!!!!

I truly adored Week 32! It was superb because we learned some amazing things! First off, we arrived at school and did TCAP Trivia! We also learned that we were going to have lots of fun events after TCAPs! It’s awesome! Then, my group stayed in the classroom because we won the Benchmark Competition! We played Wii® and watched Yo Gabba Gabba®! Finally, time flew by after all the fun we had a recess! We played Capture the Flag! Later, we did TCAP Centers. The next day, was a great day because my favorite movie, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, came out to DVD! When I got to school, we began painting our fish pots! Later, we had Tribe with Mrs. K and did some lessons on Summaries. We then had centers, and a classroom lunch! Then, we had recess, Science Trivia, and went home! Wednesday was finally around the corner! That day, we earned the Compliment Party that we had on Friday! We had Library, we learned about Cyber Bullying. Later, we had centers, and we finished our week 32 packets. Next, we trotted to Lunch, and I ate in the lunchroom this time. Finally, we exercised by playing Soccer! Then, we did Ticket Trivia, going over Science! Then, Thursday approached and we went to Math, Gym and we played Soccer, and then Reading! During the Reading Centers, my dad came and helped with the iPads and played some of the Free Choice apps! Next, the girls in our group decided to eat in the Cafeteria, while Nick & I ate in the classroom. We then had recess and some outdoor Trivia! It was a terrific Thursday! Friday, phenomenal! It was great because, 1, it was a day before the weekend, 2, the next week we’d get TCAPs over with, 3, because we had our Compliment Party! Also, we wrapped our garden, so the peas could wrap around it! Finally, we got our green folders and went home! I had a beam on my face, knowing that this week was marvelous!

A Fantastic Week 31!

This week was extremely spectacular! First, we came on Tuesday, (Monday was the day after Easter, so we got Monday off and I went to Dolly Wood!) and did our new safety posts! I will write one about mine! Then, we proceeded to Math: there, we did Centers for TCAPs. Then it was off to Art! We got to plan out our end of the year project, and I chose to do Surrealism! That’s where you make real objects into fantasy things! For example, I did flying guinea pigs! Then, we returned and did TCAP review Reading Centers! (So Much Review!) 
We ate lunch, and the group that won the Benchmark 1 test got to eat in the classroom. I think my team will win it for Benchmark 2! That was followed by recess, we played Ultimate Frisbee with a staff member’s son who’s in College! Next, we arrived back in the classroom and did Part 1 & 2 of the Practice History TCAP! The next day, we came in and reviewed grammar by doing Language Arts packets! Not fun! Then, we had more Math Centers. Finally, it was off to Library and we learned about Cyber Bullying! I also read the book by Suzanne Collins: Catching Fire! Then, in Reading, we took the Benchmark 2! It was also my cousin’s Birthday! Next, we had some lunch and then played Ultimate Frisbee at recess with Mr. Haney! Then, we came in and we took our Science Final! I missed -1! Then, we did ticket trivia, and left for home! The next day, my Mama came, and we went to school. We had Gym, Math, and did our blogs! Next, we had Reading and had some lunch with recess. That day was a blast! The following day, we helped our Third-Graders with their test! It was awesome! Next, we had Friday Fun Lunch, received our letters from Spain, and then had recess! Then, we had Ticket Trivia! Itv was a tremendous week!
Finally, Week 30!

It was a tremendous week, but it ceased on Thursday because Friday is Good Friday! Also, we will be off on Monday because it’s the Sunday after Easter, where Jesus resurrected from dying on the Cross. So this Monday, we had no Reading story, lesson in Math, or Science and History because we have TCAPs arriving. 
Unfortunately, for the rest of the time up until TCAPs, we will be doing all review. So for Math, Mr. Haney explained to us about our centers. We had Study Island, book problems, reviewing old tests, iPad games, and Pearson Success Games. They aren’t too fun. Then, we had Music, Reading review: Study Island, Week 30 packet, Benchmark test from years ago, Benchmark and TCAP Review, and then TN Topics,Grammar! Then, lunch approached, followed by Capture the Flag, and then Science Centers: Study Island, TCAP review, Social Studies problems, and the Squid Test. Finally, we came home! The next, the Track results came out. Sadly, I made an error thinking I was in the 800m, but I wasn’t. I made the 400m, one lap. That’s still OK, I thought. Then, we did more review. But this time, Mrs. Casper, came to visit us. She was an old student teacher at our school. We also took the Science Practice TCAP test. For recess, we played Kickball! Wednesday, we we also got to change a little bit up by reading our novels, I chose to do The White Giraffe! Then, we had some more lunch! It was: Rubba Dub Dub, thanks for the grub! It’s a funny 2-year-old prayer. Finally, we played some more Capture the Flag at recess. WE came in and did regular centers. Later, we got home and I had a 50 player training session at CAK. There were lots of people and the trainer made us do differemnt dribbles, and lay-ups. Then, the last day of the week arrived: Thursday! We had extremely boring Math Centers, but luckily Gym was our specials that day! Although Gym is usually fun, it wasn’t today because we also did centers!!!!!!!!!!!!! Next, we had Reading Centers, they were a bit different. We wrote our blogs and did Week 30. Finally, lunch popped up! Since the girls won the Map Challenge, they got to stay inside for Lunch! They played Wii, Sang, and they had lunch. I knew that because the boys are 2-1! There is yet another to come: the girls will tie, or the boys will the Finale! Then, we ran at recess. Afterwards, we grabbed a sip of water and concluded Science Centers for the week! YEAH! Finally, our 4-Day weekend had arrived!

Almost Summer!!!!!!!

I can’t believe that Summer is almost around the corner! We have 6 1/2 weeks left, so about 32 days! So, we have 3 more days of this week, we are off for Good Friday and the Monday after Easter! And, in those two weeks (8 days), we will be rehearsing TCAP Review. TCAP is the next week after the last 4-day week. We have:
MONDAY: Reading & Language Arts
TUESDAY: Math
WEDNESDAY: Science
THURSDAY: History
Non on Friday!
In that five days, we can’t learn anything educational, so we have lots of fun after wards, even though we have to take each test for 3 hours!
After TCAPs, we have lots of fun! We have the Track Meet, Field Day, we even host the Field Day for Kindergardeners, and a field trip to an art museum!
I can’t wait until Summer, but I’ll enjoy the rest of the school year!
Week 29! I Can’t Believe It!

It was a marvelous week! I’ll write the 5 days in 5 different paragraphs:
MONDAY:
First, we came to school after a remarkable Spring Break! In Math, we took our practice test for TCAP. That was OK, I guess. Next, we headed for music and then returned for Reading and Centers. I love centers! Then, lunch approached and I gobbled it up! We played some rough soccer at recess, and then filled out our Social Studies study guide.
TUESDAY:
That day, we had our science test, but I’ll get to that! First, we began our clay fish in Art! That was amazing! That was followed by some Reading……Nope because we had Mrs. K for Tribe! We learned about picking the right friends! Then, we went to reading centers and I finished my reading packet. I was then famished for lunch! Afterwards, I took my science test! I missed 1! I still got a good grade, though!
WEDNESDAY
This day, we arrived at school ready for action! We were to finish our rough draft in our Civil War report!! Also, we received our report cards! We also sent pictures to France, our Epals! But, in the morning we studied computer safety, and then checked out books. Then, we had the Reading and centers, again! Finally, Lunch!!!!!!! And Recess!!!!!!!!!!!!! We ate and played! Finally, and I wish not, but we had the report. Well luckily, Mrs. Markum saved us by supervising Mr. Haney! We had to maneuver to History! Then, I got fantastic grades on my report card!
THURSDAY
When Thursday arrived, we went to Gym, Math, and morning work. But, gym was the best, so I’ll skip to that. We did some more track try-outs! We ran the 800! I did awesome, I think. I cannot wait until the meet begins! Then, we had a beautiful lunch, outside! Afterwards we had a kickball game at recess! We then took our history test, I got a 98%! After that, we started our Quia games, we make them! That day was terrific!
FRIDAY
When Friday approached, I was extremely excited for the weekend! First of all, we finished Part 2 on out TCAP Practice Booklet, I missed 1! Then, we premiered our Cops on the Line movie! That was awesome! Afterwards, we went to rehearsing our play in Music. Then, we graded Week 29, our Spelling Packets, took our test, graded that, and then graded our week’s homework! Finally, we had Tech Buddies and helped them take their weekly test! That was fantastic! Then, we dashed to Friday Fun Lunch, I made it! We played some Just Dance 3®, and socialized! Lastly, we had some Ultimate Frisbee during recess! Then, to conclude the day, we took our 10-Question Map Quiz & started making some more games for Quia! Friday was tremendous! This week was even more spectacular, and i can’t wait to see what surprises next week will bring!

Finally, we finished Cops on the Line! The 3 part series is now on my blog! I burnt it to a DVD, and it’s ready to watch! Our whole class watched it! I think it’s great, and it w=took a whole lot of Not-So-Fun editing!

Week 28, Fascinating!
March 16, 2012
This week was absolutely phenomenal! Monday we had to come in and we had to do our Spelling Packet, but I like those! Then, we proceeded to Math and since we finished all our topics, we started little 15-minute lessons, and then we went to centers. Then, we also learned that TCAPs was a grade this year! Next, we headed to Music and recited our President’s Son and learned a little about our play called A Kid’s Life! That was followed by our new vocabulary, centers, and Reading! WE had lunch and played Soccer at recess! We came in and had Science Vocabulary, our new topic: Gravity. Then, we studied our lesson on the Constitution. That wasn’t very entertaining! That night, I had basketball practice. Later the next day, we struggled to get ready for Math because we had a play by the 2nd Graders! It was called Nuts! Our Math class began at 8:00, so we had only 15 minutes to do Morning Work. After the play, which my brother was in, we completed Art class. All we did was study 7 different types of Art. That was followed y our weekly story called The Unbreakable Code. It wasn’t that great. Then, we had centers, lunch, and a not-so-hot day of recess. My brother performed his school play again that night for all the parents! Unfortunately the next day, my friend left for Israel and won’t be returning until March 23! Although, it was probably spectacular for him! Also, Wednesday, we had Library and rated some books for an award. Later, we completed centers, but mostly filmed our novel study movies! The whole afternoon, after recess & lunch, we filmed our movies, and I placed mine on my blog! That was a great day! Finally, the next day arrived! We approached school, and we began our rough draft on the Civil War project. That was not fun! Next, we played Manga High at one of our centers in Math! I love that game, and we got a challenge, I was a round hero! Next, we had Tug-of-War & Long Jump tryouts for Track. (We did the running last week). Finally, we dashed through Reading and centers and headed for lunch. Yum! We played a beast kickball game outside, my favorite, and then we filled out a Science study guide. Afterwards, we had to make a flip book on Federal, State, and Local government. Later that night, it stormed and I had basketball practice. Thank Goodness It’s Friday! (T.G.I.F.)! Today, we did our blogs, and left for Math. There, we did Math Olympiad and problem solving. That was followed by rehearsal for our new music play with Mrs. Hollingsworth. I opinionated it was not at all fun!!!!!!!!!! Next, we came in and had our weekly test. We graded our Week 28 reading, finished up Novel Movies, & then we graded all our papers. At least that was concluded! Friday Fun Lunch arrived to bring its “fun!” WE ended that and had a beautiful day at recess!!!!!!!! Then, for Science we did Spring Cleaning, boring! But we got to miss science! Later, we took our last round of our Map Quiz! The boys won the last round, we’re still in great shape! Then, it was off to Spring Break and I was headed for Florida!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FUN THINGS COMING UP FOR ME:
